Your Canidate Wuz Too Smart
Here is a quote that epitomizes the spineless hypocricy of the Republican constituency:"You may hate Bush, but it wasn’t the American people’s fault they had to vote for him. The Dems put canidate’s (Gore and Kerry) that couldn’t win as they were creepy and didn’t look “in touch” with the average joe on the street. It was doubly sad when Kerry ran. YOu guys could have taken that race with even an average canidate. Instead, you choose a complete loser. Please get it right this time and choose someone that will win."
Umm, yeah. If Larry the Cableguy was to run for president, he'd be a slam dunk with these folks.
State Of The Union
Let’s imagine that 4 years ago, you went to your boss or partners or board of directors with a plan for a project. Three years later, it turns out:
- your project was based upon knowingly falsified data
- your project has gone 10,000 % over its budget
- your project has gotten 3,014 of your employees killed and 22,000 injured
- your project has no realistic end in sight
- your project has exposed your company to virtually unlimited financial liability
- your project has brought your company to impending bankruptcy.
Against that backdrop, ask yourself this - if this was you,
HOW FIRED WOULD YOU BE?
Brat On A Plane
Elly Kulesza was not having a good day. Upon boarding an AirTran flight from Orlando to Boston, the 3-year-old proceeded to throw a major tantrum, flopping on the floor, screaming and hitting her parents. After having 100+ passengers wait 15 minutes for her to calm down, Airtran flight crew kicked the Kuleszas off the plane, as is required by FAA rules. Here comes the stupid part: AirTran is having to defend itself for protecting the safety of Elly Kulesza, and catering for the majority of the passengers. I can certainly relate to the Kuleszas, my 5-year-old son is prone to throwing hissy fits in public places. But I don't expect special treatment because of him. If the Kuleszas can't control their daughter with, say, a swift smack to the rear end, they have other options: Rent a car. Take the train. Fly another day. Drug her up with Benadryl. AirTran even offered the Kuleszas their money back and free tickets, but the family says they'll never fly AirTran again. Fortunately.
